Thank You, Stars

It’s Father’s day, so I want to blog a few quick lines about my girls. As you get to my age, I find that you start to look more forward to Father’s days than your birthdays… :)

I love being a father to my two beautiful girls. I completely adore them. They are my source of joys & pride– apples in my eyes. They never cease to amaze me and motivate me to strive to be the best father I can possibly can. The truth is that I sometimes can’t believe how darn fortunate I am to have them in my life. I am forever thankful for them, for it is they that make me a father. And fatherhood is a beautiful thing, man…

So, Katelyn & Allison, I thank my lucky stars for you…

Here’s a little excerpt from Katie Melua’s song named “Thank You Stars”:

Some call it faith, some call it love
Some call it guidance from above
You are the reason we found ours
So thank you stars

Some people think it’s far away
Some know it’s with them every day
You are the reason we found ours
So thank you stars

Very lucky father indeed – adorable kids! Don’t forget that important lady of the house who “gave” you the lucky stars! :)
Hope all great Dads had a wonderful Father’s Day!

of course, how can I forget that? And I already thanked her on Mother’s day. :)

rex, your blog (along with Chi’s) has inspired me to write a “tribute” of sorts to my dad for father’s day because I see thru your eyes some of the same qualities I saw in my own father having raised a brood of 3 girls. Thx for the inspiration!

wow, Grace. Your dad is the one that IS truly inpirational. I hope one day Katelyn & Allison will think similar thoughts about their old dad…

Rex, I like this post. It’s touching but not corny :) .

That aside, now tell me, what’s your plan to be the best dad? :)

I always remember the story you told us about your dad, what he did to his dad back in VN. Do you remember? You told us your dad’s story when we were driving down with Tito & Trucie to LA. Write the story again one day Rex, I like that story.

This is a few time I’ll write something nice about you, I do see one thing common between your dad and you: compassion.

I wonder if I should show Jari this so he can take his responsibilities more seriously.

Hmmm…. I don’t remember exactly which story you refer to, so many years ago. But it’s interesting that it made an impression on you.
Now, you need to remind forgetful me… :)
